Shop around.
Look for the best value not just the cheapest price. If an insurance company offers you a low monthly premium, be sure that their policy includes adequate coverage in the event of an accident.
Review your liability limits and make sure they meet your needs.
To lower your premium, consider removing coverage for services that are included in your motor club membership such as towing and roadside assistance.
Ensure maximum protection, while lowering you monthly premium payment, by selecting the highest liability limit and deductible you can comfortably afford.
Decide whether you’d rather pay now or later in the event of an accident. A higher deductible means you will pay more out-of-pocket in the event of an accident; however, the monthly premium costs will be lower.
Don’t forget to take into consideration the worst-case scenario when choosing your liability limits. Often, a few more dollars in premium payments equates to thousands of dollars of increased protection.
Ask your agent to list frequent passengers in your car such as friends, family, and/or a regular car-pool pal on your policy.
